Trail Overview
This route begins where the pavement ends at Poblado Ramatisas and runs west, concluding just before Puerto Adolfo Lopez Mateos. It's a relatively easy trail, with stretches of shallow sand and occasional silt beds that can be bypassed if needed. While 4WD is reassuring, it's not necessary as long as you're prepared to air down your tires for better traction. Most of the track is smooth, but expect worsening washboard sections as you approach the western end of the trail. Continuing straight after the trail ends will take you directly to the port, but it also passes by an unsightly landfill. For a more scenic and pleasant route, consider turning right to return to the highway instead.

Difficulty
This trail is suitable for any high-clearance 2WD vehicle, but drivers should be prepared to lower tire pressure if needed to navigate sandy sections. Keep in mind that in extremely hot conditions, sand can become more challenging to traverse.
