Trail Overview
The 5 K trail goes from Sandy Lake Road to the windmills in Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia. The trail starts on crown land and then goes to the Barrett Lumber property. 5 K is a mix of gravel and rough terrain with very rough sections, then back to gravel when you hit the windmills. Use caution when entering Barrett Property. Barrett offers a class for access to their land, the class gives you lifetime access and a key to their gates. I have done the class and find it well worth it to legally be on their land.

Difficulty
The trail is rated 4 due to rough sections of the trail, including a water hole with big boulders that may cause damage if not scouted out first.
History
The trail has been a four-wheeler trail for a long time. The ATV club and Drift Climbers Snowmobile Club have done a lot of work on the trail over the years. In the winter, it is a groomed snowmobile trail.
