Trail Overview

Mill Road is a scenic trail located off Old Road near Burntcoat Head Park. The trail is accessible from the south at the end of Airport Lane. Starting from Old Road, the trail is an easy single-lane, hard-packed dirt road. Approximately 1 km south of Old Road, you'll encounter a fork in the road; be sure to keep right. Beyond this point, the road begins to deteriorate and becomes very washed out before meeting up with Airport Lane. Due to the rough conditions, a high clearance 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Full-width trucks and SUVs may find the road too narrow in the washed-out sections. Burntcoat Head Park is renowned for having the world's highest recorded tides. Visitors can explore the ocean floor during low tide, enjoy stunning views of the Bay of Fundy, and visit the replica lighthouse. The park also features short walking trails, picnic areas, and interpretive displays, making it a perfect spot for a day trip.
