Trail Overview
This 3-mile out-and-back trail climbs just over 100 feet and drops over 200 feet, starting and ending at FS4N18Y. The hard-packed dirt surface is 1 to 1.5 vehicles wide, cutting through a mature pine forest. The trail is relatively smooth with just a few humps and drainage humps throughout. It runs along a shelf edge for part of the route, offering sneak peeks of the valley below, mountains across the way, and Beardsley Lake. At mile 1.0, lots of overgrown branches will give you Sonora Pass pinstripes and hit the top of your vehicle. The trail ends when overgrown brush prevents further travel.
