Trail Overview

Bart is a fun desert singletrack meandering between the base of small desert hills, side-hilling along the edge, and across the tops of the low hills. It is a narrow path on a packed, loose rock surface that is easy to follow. It crosses over little spines and dips through little washes. The trail is marked at the beginning with the name of the trail and has rock cairns throughout to help follow the route. It goes through a pretty barren landscape - there are a few bushes and ocotillos, but not much else. The west end starts on Bureau of Reclamation property with No Trespassing signs to go any further west. It ends on a full-width road where you can access the next singletrack called Backyard.

Access Description

There are several dirt bike trails within the Laguna Hills trail system near Fortuna Foothills, Arizona. There isn't a formal staging area, but riders can access the trails through the system of roads north of the canal. There are a couple of parking and staging options. On the east side of the trail system, you can park at the west end of Adair Park Road and enter the trail system at the levee. There are several small camp spots along the canal on the levee road. On the northwest side of the trail system, you can also enter at the other levee (from South Laguna Dam Road), and you'll find easy dispersed camping here as well. You can also access this trail system from Mittry Lake, which is a popular spot for camping as well.
