Trail Overview
Mill Creek Road follows Mill Creek through Upper Mill Creek Pond, Lower Mill Creek Pond, and into Powderhorn and La Garita Wilderness areas. There is a lot of fishing along Mill Creek and the ponds in the area. Extensive camping spots range from improved, paid campgrounds with restroom facilities, to undeveloped campgrounds scattered throughout. There are constant moose sightings, so be on the lookout. There are plenty of hiking trails throughout, and Cannibal Plateau is available for ATV use 50" or less. Mill Creek Road is easy to navigate with any 2WD vehicles. It is narrow in some areas with drop-offs, but there are plenty of spots to let fellow drivers pass.
