Trail Overview

Mostly an easy winding trail that marks the west and north park boundaries. It's great for a more relaxing excursion to explore, or to limp your broken trail rig back to the parking area. Easy access to the upper reaches of the park without needing to take a boulder-filled trail.

Access Description

The Outer Loop Boundary Trail starts just in the park from the parking area and travels in a clockwise direction, first west, then north, then back to the east along the northern edge of the park, forming most of a loop. If you are in the higher elevation area of the park, it can provide an easy way back to the parking area. Note that the northeast end of this trail does not provide access to the highway. The gate at the highway is usually locked.
