Trail Overview
You travel south from Hunt Mountain Road and go generally southwest and then southeast along Grouse Creek, ending up at an overlook of Antelope Butte Ski Area. The trail winds through some incredible rock formations but there is only one place you go over the rocks where it requires good ground clearance. The flowers are beautiful up here in the summertime, and the chance to see wildlife is very good. Elk, deer, moose, and bear are all possible in the Big Horn Mountains. The trail ends at what some use as elk camp in the fall. There is a rock to climb out on and you can see for miles in every direction. A plaque on the rock calls it ZaksRock. I don't know the story behind that plaque. The elk camp is a great place to have lunch.

Difficulty
There is one place in the rock formations where you drop off a pretty good drop, but the SXSs in our group ranged from 30" tires to 35" tires, a 50" wide machine to a 75" wide machine, and they all handled it fine. After rain, the trail will have mud and puddles in places. Nothing technical or difficult.
