Trail Overview

This is the Marinette/ Florence County F5 to F12 Spur Lake road trail. This is a fast-paced trail for the first several miles if traveling east to west. The trail surface in this section is mostly sand, with some small rocks mixed in throughout. The trail is long and straight, with excellent sightlines. The trail will then transition into a tighter treed-in section, and the surface will transition from gravel to dirt. Most Areas of this trail are one and a half to two vehicle widths wide. In areas not broad enough for two vehicles, there is reasonable space on either side of the trail to allow passing. The scenery along this trail ranges from long flatlands with sparse small trees mixed in, to rolling hills through well-developed forests.
