Trail Overview
This is a very well-maintained, two-lane forest service road, particularly the first 4 miles or so. The road remains pretty flat with a gradual climb until about the last mile, where it starts to climb up to the ridgeline. Even then, the climb is not extreme, but the road condition does deteriorate slightly. Still passable by most any vehicle. As the road starts to climb, the views start to open up until the road ends at the junction with the Entiat ridge trail, and several other forest service roads (including the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route). Limited cell service along this road. There are a handful of campsites; however, this is a pretty busy road, and proceeding further will net you better opportunities.
