Trail Overview

Cliff Ridge Road is a part of a huge network of forest service roads in Colville National Forest, but with one of if not the best views. About midway through this not-too-challenging trail, you can pull off and hike about 5 - 10 minutes to the Bayley Lake lookout. We were greeted with some low fog, specks of orange trees, and the lake itself when we went. This view is fantastic in the summer/fall months. Wildlife along the way included snow geese and other birds as well as deer.

Difficulty

We were able to stay in 2WD with both vehicles throughout the trail. In the winter months, expect snow. There were tons of ruts, puddles, some mud, and medium-sized rocks. This trail is trafficked, but we would still recommend a chainsaw just in case.
