Trail Overview
RV9 is a roughly 3-mile trail running from RV1 on the south end to RV33 on the north. It features technical climbs and descents with loose rock, ruts, and water runoff, as well as larger embedded rock layers forming small obstacles under a foot tall. A major highlight--and challenge--is the crossing at Bart's Lick Creek, which is fast flowing and can reach a couple of feet deep. While some sections are steep and rugged, there are also easier, flatter segments with mud puddles. Overall, RV9 is moderately difficult due to the combination of steep grades, rocky terrain, and significant water crossings.
