Trail Overview

This route follows a wide, well-traveled gravel road through one of the most scenic desert landscapes near Moab. Suitable for most stock high-clearance vehicles in dry conditions, the road is generally easy to navigate but features frequent washboards that can make the ride rough at higher speeds. As you travel the route, massive red rock walls, towering mesas, and dramatic desert formations rise around you, offering constant photo opportunities and classic Utah views. The road leads directly to the Fisher Towers trailhead, where visitors can park and hike the popular 2.2-mile trail to the base of the iconic spires. A campground at the base of the towers makes this a great destination for day trips, camping, hiking, and sightseeing.
