Trail Overview
This dirt bike trail at Doe Mountain winds through dense rhododendron thickets under a dark, enclosed canopy, creating a deep-woods feel. Riders pass through cleared forest sections showing evidence of extensive cutting after Hurricane Helene, where the trail widens up. The trail surface is generally smooth and easy, but it includes a highly technical optional hill climb on loose, silty dirt. Heading west to east, riders encounter a difficult, steep, rutted descent known locally as Buzz Kill Hill, featuring deep troughs, tight switchbacks, and an awkward off-camber log crossing. Expect a potential downfall and a mix of flow and technical challenges along this fun stretch.
