Trail Overview
Trail 115 is one of the most difficult routes in the Doe Mountain trail system, despite being only about a quarter mile long. Note that it is locally recognized as a "most difficult" black trail and is a restricted trail for the DMRA SxS rentals. It gains roughly 350 feet of elevation from north to south, beginning at its junction with Trail 411. The approach is off-camber and scattered with small loose rocks, leading into a steep climb through dense rhododendron. The trail surface becomes increasingly technical, with embedded rock layers, loose rock, thick root bands, and a slightly off-camber slope. The key obstacle is an uneven rock shelf about a foot high that spans the trail, requiring careful line choice and traction. The trail ends at its southern junction with Trail 15 with space to turn around, and is best suited for more experienced drivers due to its steep grade and technical obstacle.

This is a more advanced SXS trail with a rock shelf obstacle and constant loose rock and roots that should only be attempted by experienced drivers.
