Trail Overview
Snag is one of the longer dirt bike trails in the Mount Emily Recreation Area, winding through the forest for 3.5 miles with constant tight turns. It can be ridden in either direction and will be very similar either way. The trail is mostly smooth dirt, not too narrow, flowing through the scenic forest of ponderosa, lodgepole pine, and Douglas fir. It's fast and easy, but you have to keep your eyes up for the sudden sharp corners or oncoming traffic. Be advised that there are a couple of road crossings as well. The trail starts and ends at intersections with the longer Dead Bull single-track as well, which you can continue on to for similar riding.
