Trail Overview
A side entrance into the expanses of the Tillamook State Forest, this disused logging road features steep graded climbs, picturesque views, and plenty of spur roads to find a nice dispersed camping site. The trail itself is a washboarded old graveled logging road, of which the origins are sparsely known. Downed trees are a commonplace on this route, so bring a saw. This trail passes through a sparsely logged area of the TSF that provides a beauty that little in its surroundings can top. The trail ends at the intersection of Wheeler Pond Road of which offers a logging mainline, so pack a CB, especially during the weekdays when the mainline can become an artery for the logging operations down to Camp Nine.
