Trail Overview
Sharps Ridge takes off from FS 3988 at Oasis Springs, and depending on the time of year, can be extremely muddy and boggy to traverse. The first section through the trees is the worst of it, but once you break out of the trees and start gaining elevation it becomes a relatively easy 2-track trail. From the top on clear days you can see Mount Hood to the West. Near the midpoint of the trail there is a 3-way intersection: continuing straight will take you to Jump Off Joe lookout, which overlooks the Desolation hunting unit. Bearing right will continue the Sharps Ridge trail and loop you back down to FS 3986.

Difficulty
Depending on time of year, the mud holes at Oasis Springs can be very deep and challenging. In drier conditions this is just a scenic trail. Lots of fun in the snow.
