Trail Overview

This is a directional, double black diamond single track that should be ridden west to east. It begins with a challenging climb into dense, overgrown forest and immediately has a tall mossy boulder ledge/rock pinch at the crest of the ascent. The descent that follows features multiple off-camber rock drop-offs within a narrow corridor, making for highly technical and exposed riding. The trail continues along a narrow spine with high exposure, tight turns through trees, and an extremely steep final descent back to the road.

Access Description

The Diamond Mill OHV Area has a large day use staging area, kiddie track, and overnight campsites for $5 per night. The area mostly accesses difficult single tracks. Not all trails are marked through the system, and the trails often change or close with fire conditions or logging operations, so make sure to check Oregon's recreation website before heading out. (At High Fire Danger, trails are open before 1 p.m. and after 8 p.m. At Extreme fire danger, the trails are closed. There is limited cell service in the area, and the trails and the surrounding Jones Creek area are very popular on weekends.
