This trail has lots of water crossings if there's been any rain in the area lately. The water crossings are anywhere from 6 inches to 2 feet deep. There are plenty of places to flex your suspension and lots of scenic creeks and crossings to see on the way from the base of Wheeler Peak to the base of Dead Man's slide.

Access Description

From the valley at the base of Dead Man's Slide, go west and cross the creek to the trail you can see running northwest. From the fence crossing to the south side of Wheeler Peak trail, take the trail furthest to the right (west).
