Trail Overview
This trail is part of the Oklahoma Adventure Trail and consists primarily of a straight, well-maintained gravel road that is occasionally intersected by paved roads. A river runs alongside part of the route and offers the only opportunities for dispersed camping for many miles in either direction along the OAT. Some of these informal sites are spacious, and a few feature existing fire rings, suggesting regular use by local visitors, day-trippers, and fishermen. While the area is scenic and peaceful, it lacks basic amenities such as trash disposal and potable water. Cell phone reception is limited throughout the trail, so travelers should consult the app before relying on mobile communication.
