Trail Overview

Wolf Mountain Road is a great trail with some solid base mud puddles, some being 12-18 inches deep, and some 12-18 rock ledges along the northern end of the trail. Traveling from north to south, you will probably encounter a few small stream crossings depending on how much rain the area has seen, and there could be trees down across the trail. There was 1 tree across the trail at the time of this writing, but I was able to drive under it. Well-placed 31" tires should suffice for this trail, and enjoy the views of the Christmas tree farms along the way, but no trespassing, as they are on private property. When close to the southern end of the trail, there will be an opening with a large rock ledge with a beautiful view of the mountain and valley below. This is Horseshoe Rock. Enjoy the view here, but please don't deface the rock or leave trash, as it is on private property. Practice the Tread Lightly Principles while enjoying these areas.

Difficulty

The mud holes could be up to 18 inches deep but have solid bottoms. The rock obstacles and ledges that are on the trail could cause some scrapes to bumpers, but good tire placement should make it possible to be driven with 31-inch tires and above.
