Trail Overview
Carpenter Road is a short connector between State Route 15 and Strausburg Lane, providing access from pavement to the southeastern portion of the game lands. The road is predominantly a double-track trail, with some narrower sections consisting of loose sand and the potential for mud, while the western portion near Route 15 is wider and more like a traditional road. Overall, the trail is on the easier side compared to other double-track routes in the area. The primary challenges are a few low-lying sections that can collect rain, forming shallow puddles or small mud pits no deeper than about 4 inches, most of which can be easily avoided. The trail is also quite scenic, featuring a mix of open field clearings and wooded stretches that provide opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife.

Difficulty
As mentioned earlier, the trail is generally easy, with the only challenges being a few small patches that can collect rain, creating small puddles and mud pits. One short section does have loose sand; however, it is relatively packed in the center, where cars frequently drive, making it easily passable with careful driving.
