Trail Overview
This offshoot from the main trail within Pettiford Creek State Forest provides access to state forest lands and Croatan National Forest lands. The trail is shorter, grassy, and features a few mud crossings, with rather narrow, encroaching branches. The trail's end comes rather suddenly, has very steep banks, and is very narrow, making turning around in full-size rigs very difficult. Depending on rainfall, and the time of the year, the trail may have a few shallow mud pits, however, it is more dry than other trails in Pettiford Creek State Forest.
