Trail Overview

Most of this ATV route is through a sand wash between sagebrush and pinyon pine trees. The wash is smooth and flat, with lots of tracks to follow and signs all throughout the wash to help mark the route. The wash is varying widths, sometimes really wide, and sometimes narrow between the bushes. It goes mostly straight, with a few sharper curves. Sometimes it exits the wash and parallels it on the flat ground above the wash, on a hardpacked easy dirt trail. It goes past a couple of oil wells and powerlines before ending on a dirt road and turning into singletrack.

Access Description

The Glade Run Recreation Area is a high desert playground full of extreme rock crawling trails, sandy washes and desert ridgelines. The southern 3,800 acres are an Open OHV Area, while the northern three quarters of the rec area are limited to designated routes, which includes unvegetated wash bottoms that are wider than the widest part of your vehicle. The main staging area is at the intersection of Glade Road and Pinyon Hills Blvd. The BLM has official ratings for the 4x4 rock crawling trails, but conditions and difficulty ratings are constantly changing in the desert.
