Trail Overview
This oil road starts out wide and sandy but gradually becomes increasingly narrow as it winds its way deeper into the canyon. There are some ledges when entering and exiting washes, but this is a fairly easy trail for anyone with a high-clearance vehicle. Look out for narrow, deeply eroded cuts across the road that double as nature's own suspension-eating speed bumps, and enjoy the gorgeous multi-colored stripes in the surrounding canyon walls and hills towards the end of the trail. While nothing extremely special, Kutz Canyon West leads to Kutz Canyon East and a cut-through to Angel Peak Picnic and Campground that climbs 500 feet over a half-mile descent.

Difficulty
While the score may increase depending on precipitation, in dry conditions it is overall an easy trail with some deep sand and wash crossings that include small ledges.
