Trail Overview

Relatively easy trail to one of the more remote ruins of the Chaco Canyon culture. The trail was rutted and uneven, and the last few hundred yards had significant mud due to recent rains. Otherwise, the trail to the ruins was relatively easy, with incredible views of the high desert and Chaco Canyon from a different perspective. The highlight is the ruins, and if you are interested in the Chaco Canyon culture, it is a fascinating place that helps to put the other great houses into perspective. If not, it's just a dirt road to a bunch of rubble. However, high clearance is required. 4x4 may not be. Don't try this in a Prius.

Difficulty

No major obstacles. But ruts and a cow guard of all things will hinder lower clearance vehicles.
