Mountain Road

Trail Overview

Mountain Road is a New Hampshire Class VI road. Coming from the south, the route stays right, indicated by a Class VI sign, as Swamp Road goes left. Cow Pastures can be seen to the right as you begin your first climb onto Mountain Road. You will come back down to an intersection for Mountain View Spur. Follow the road straight, but stay left, look for a second Class VI sign. Note there is a private paved driveway on the left, further up passed the second sign. The trail is tight and is to the right of the driveway. The rest of the trail is straight on through. Mountain Road does end in a neighborhood, so be respectful of the people who live there. As of 9/14/25, there is active logging occurring in the area, so be mindful of equipment.
