Ice Plant Springs Road

Trail Overview

This is one of several roads that provide access to the Ice Plant ATV Loop. The road travels through a high desert environment with relatively dense juniper, pine trees, and sagebrush growth. The single-width tread comprises native gravels and soil with occasional rocks and ruts. This is a fairly easy route for high-clearance vehicles and SXS. The road climbs to an elevation of 7400 feet, and occasional panoramic views of the Steptoe Valley and Comins Lake are available.

Difficulty

This is typical of the unmaintained road system in the area. There are occasional rutting and rocky stretches that must be navigated, but no extraordinary skill level is needed to enjoy this road.
