Trail Overview
This BLM road runs from Owyhee Road to SSR18, which leads you to the Historic Site of Winter's Ranch. It is a relatively smooth gravel road with a bridge over Four Mile Creek. Along this trail, you will have panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, and you will drive across the dam of Deep Creek. Most of this trail is BLM, but it weaves in and out of private property belonging to Nevada Gold Mines LLC, so be aware if you camp and make sure to be on the BLM land in one of the many pull-outs. Pronghorn Antelope are plentiful in this area and can be seen along the trail. Any vehicle could traverse this terrain; however, cellphone service is almost nonexistent, and the nearest services are 75 miles away in Elko, Nevada.
