Trail Overview

Nez Perce Trail #7092 is a remote and scenic single-track route that's ideal for enduro and cross-country dirt bike riders looking for a fun challenge. This trail is primarily out-and-back, unless you arrange for a shuttle or pickup at the far end. It took us about 1.5 hours one way with breaks, but the total time can vary greatly depending on trail conditions. Expect a mix of technical features including rocky sections, sharp switchbacks, and stretches with sidehill exposure that require steady throttle and balance. There are no major water crossings, but the terrain can change with the weather. When we rode, we had to duck under two fallen trees -- so we strongly recommend carrying a saw, as fallen timber is common and may block your return route. The trail offers great views, winding through forested slopes and open sections with classic backcountry scenery. While not overly long, it can become a full-day ride if the trail is overgrown or obstructed. Cell service is spotty, so download offline maps before heading out. Pro Tips: Bring a saw or small chainsaw, wear protective gear -- there are exposed edges. The trail is best ridden late spring through early fall and is not recommended for beginners. This is a great single-track ride if you're looking for remote adventure, moderate challenge, and epic views. Add it to your list if you're riding in the area and want to explore one of the more rugged and rewarding trails.

Difficulty

Nez Perce Trail #7092 is best suited for intermediate to advanced riders with solid single-track experience. While not extreme, the trail presents several features that require skill and focus. Riders can expect rocky sections, loose soil, and uneven surfaces that demand good throttle and clutch control. There are several sharp switchbacks that require balance and low-speed maneuvering, especially when heading uphill. Some parts of the trail run along steep hillsides with limited room for error, so riders should be comfortable with narrow, exposed lines. Fallen trees, brush, or ruts may also be present, and carrying a handsaw is recommended in case you need to clear the path. The location is remote with no cell service and no quick exit, so riders should be self-sufficient and prepared for changing conditions. This trail is not beginner-friendly, but a solid intermediate rider on a properly set-up dirt bike can complete it at a moderate pace. It is best to ride with a buddy, bring tools, and download offline maps.
