Trail Overview
This section of the Divide NRT starts from the south end at the intersection with Ditch Creek and runs along a ridge before dropping into the forest. The trail is mostly narrow and features several embedded rock gardens that you have to pick your way through, sometimes at the base of a talus field with large boulders. In between the rockier sections, it opens up into fast, flowy single track that's in good shape and not whooped out. Riders pass two scenic lakes and a few muddy spots with soft ground. There's a tricky off-camber left-hand turn on a sidehill with roots that can kick your rear tire out if you're not careful. A few rocky creek crossings add to the technical mix. With a combination of rock challenges, smooth wooded flow, and mountain views, this trail offers a fun and varied ride that doesn't see a ton of traffic.
