Trail Overview

Deer Meadows Trail is mostly one vehicle wide, but it's relatively easy. There are very few places where you could pass an oncoming vehicle. There are some potholes and ruts as well as rocks that aren't bigger than 8-inch diameter. There are also some trees that stick out into the road which can make the trail pretty narrow at times. The surface of the trail is mostly dirt and it can be pretty muddy depending on the weather. This trail will take you from Skalkaho Rye Road and will turn into Mine Road which will eventually take you back to Skalkaho Rye Road, much closer to Highway 93. Other than in one spot, you will be in the trees for the majority of this trail so there won't be much of a view from this trail.
