Trail Overview
This route passes through dense stands of mixed conifers and bushes and is quite scenic. This is also a good place to see some wildlife. The route itself is based upon old abandoned logging roads, so the tread is quite stable and relatively wide. The usable tread width is narrowed by deadfall in several places and the entry and exit points are tank-trapped to only allow vehicles 60" or less in width. There is considerable deadfall in this area, so a chainsaw is a good idea.

Difficulty
With the exception of deadfall, there are few obstacles on this route.
History
Portions of this route were used by early settlers to gather coal for home heating from an outcrop in the area. Unfortunately, the relics of the old coal mining activities (open pits and buildings) have been obliterated and the location is no longer legally accessible.
