Trail Overview
Andrews Creek Dirt Bike Trail is a moderate difficulty, single-track trail that connects the end of Andrews Creek Trail to Warm Springs Ridge Trail. This trail is one of four exits or entrances to Warm Springs Ridge Trail. Taking this trail will put you near the middle of Warm Springs Ridge Trail, so the decision is up to you on which direction you want to go after this trail. This trail starts from the east end as a pretty smooth, dirt, single-track trail that weaves through the trees. There are some switchbacks in this section, but nothing too tight or steep. In this section, as well are a light amount of rocks, but nothing bigger than 4-5". After the first section, you will pop out of the trees and soon be climbing a bare, grass ridge towards a bunch of downed, burnt trees from the 2000s fires. A lot of these trees have already been cut clear of the trail, but there are a few more standing ones that could fall onto the trail. So having a saw on this trail is a good idea. While riding through the downed trees, you will find that the trail becomes more rocky. Although there aren't any big rocks that would be hard to get a dirt bike over, there are still some up to 8" in diameter. As you continue, the trail traverses the side of the mountain near the ridge. Here you will find some good views of the mountains and valley north of Sula, Montana, to the east. In this section, there are a couple of short stretches where the mountain gets steep and the drop off the trail is significant. Shortly after this section, the trail heads back up to the ridge, where it then crests the ridge, heads down the other side of the ridge in a small meadow, and meets up with Warm Springs Ridge Trail very soon after. (Trail open December 2nd - October 14th)

Difficulty
This is a moderate difficulty single-track dirt bike trail. There are some moderate switchbacks and rocks to avoid and ride over. There aren't any rocks much bigger than 8 inches in diameter. Some sections of the trail are narrow and on the side of a mountain, where you will not want to veer off the trail. Otherwise, this trail doesn't have any water crossings, mud, or any overly steep climbs. The characteristics of this trail are very similar to Warm Springs Ridge Trail.
