Trail Overview
Trail 5706A is a scenic, grassy route that follows an old forest service road along the edge of a mountainside through an old burn area. The trail remains flat and gradual throughout, with minimal rock, no obstacles or climbs, and offers wide open views of the surrounding hills. While it's generally wide and manageable for all skill levels, riders should use caution near exposed edges and watch for downed logs that are not cleared entirely off the trail, partially blocking the route. Lightly traveled, this trail is ideal for a mellow ride, very similar in difficulty to 5702. There is also a backcountry hunting campsite off of this trail near the western entrance. You can make a fun day loop in the area by starting on the Jew Mountain Trail, and taking 5702 and this trail to make a loop back to the FS Road 5706.
