Trail Overview

The Twelve-Hundred Trail is a pleasant out-and-back spur trail meandering North off of The Echo Trail. It leads right past Heliport 2 and several scenic picnic areas. Twelve-Hundred Trail is too narrow to turn around in several spots. The most challenging spot is a significant rocky ditch to cross before terminating at a Minnesota State Forest parcel.

Difficulty

Most of this trail should be rated at 2 or 3 with one medium sized rock ditch/water crossing that may present a challenge (see pictures). There is no bypass for the crossing, however it's near the end so you may choose to hike to the end of the trail but may need to drive in reverse until you can reach a spot to turn around.
