Trail Overview
Track Pit begins as a narrow, overgrown two-track that winds through dense forest. Vegetation encroaches on both sides, making pinstriping nearly unavoidable for wider vehicles. The surface is a mix of bumpy gravel and exposed rock, and in one section, water erosion has washed away much of the gravel, creating shallow ditches. While the trail is rough, it does not present major technical challenges. The route eventually opens into a large clearing that may appear suitable for camping, though it is prone to flooding and is often used by local target shooters. Beyond the clearing, the trail becomes increasingly narrow and more overgrown, with the surface growing rougher and more uneven. The main trail eventually fades out entirely, but a smaller offshoot continues down toward a nearby lake. There are no formal campsites along this route and no services such as trash disposal or potable water. Cell coverage may be weak or unavailable.
