Trail Overview
Straight Arrow Enduro Riders (SAER) maintains approximately 45 miles of single-track / ATV trail in the Nemadji State Forest. This section of Straight Arrow single track meanders along the Wisconsin-Minnesota border. The trail features a mix of very hard-packed dirt, deep ruts, and frequent transitions between soft and hard soil. Recent reroutes have added plenty of new switchbacks(respect the caution tape), including several sandy sections. Expect lots of bridges -- a lot of bridges -- and use extra caution when they're wet, as they can become extremely slick. Some of the steeper climbs include old snowmobile tracks, which help with erosion control and provide improved traction for dirt bikes. Keep in mind, this specific trail is 8 miles long with no turn-offs and two-way traffic. There are no easy bailouts or shortcuts in case of mechanical issues or emergencies, so a well-maintained bike is strongly recommended. Carry tools and supplies accordingly. Trails open year-round except: Winter Thaw, Firearms Deer Hunting, Very Wet Conditions, or Fire Danger. Always check the Minnesota DNR website for trail closures. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv/
