Trail Overview

This long, straight trail is well-maintained and wide enough for two vehicles for most of its length. It passes through a mix of forest and open fields, with stretches of woodland broken up by views of rural properties. Along the way, it passes the Wildwood Cemetery and runs near several residences and private properties, so drivers should watch for slippery sections, local traffic, and children playing near the road. The trail borders Beltrami Island State Forest, and although there are side routes branching off, the majority lead onto private land. Continuing on, the route heads toward the Red River Wildlife Management Area before reaching Valley Wildlife Management Area, where parking and hunting trails are available. The surroundings offer a balance of shaded forest and open areas, giving a varied but consistent rural feel. The trail has no formal campsites or amenities such as trash disposal or water supply, and cell service may be limited.
