Trail Overview

This trail is a well-maintained gravel road that leads to Silver Island Lake and a primitive campground. The road is in good condition and provides easy access through the forest, with several clearings along the way that can be used for parking. Near these clearings, a short secondary trail splits off from the main route. At the end of the trail, the campground offers eight basic campsites, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, along with a vault toilet. The campground sits along the lake, providing convenient access to the water, and is a popular destination, especially during the warmer months. While the trail and campground offer a quiet and scenic experience, visitors should be aware that there are no trash disposal facilities or potable water available. Cell service may be unreliable or completely unavailable, depending on location.
