Trail Overview
This trail is generally mild and beginner-friendly, making it a great option for those looking for a more relaxed ride. The terrain consists mostly of dirt with a few small hill climbs scattered throughout. These inclines are manageable for most 4WD vehicles but can become slightly more challenging when wet, as the small rocks embedded in the surface may reduce traction. Along the way, you'll weave through a pleasant wooded area that offers some scenic surroundings. The trail eventually leads to a peaceful picnic area with room for a few vehicles to park. There are no major obstacles to be concerned about on this route.

History
The Iron Range OHV Recreation Area was built on reclaimed mining land, once part of the rich Mesabi Iron Range that fueled U.S. steel production for over a century. Today, this 1,200+ acre site blends industrial history with outdoor adventure, offering a rare chance to ride through the remnants of Minnesota's mining legacy.
