Trail Overview

This scenic trail is wide enough for two vehicles and has a well-maintained gravel surface. It winds through forested terrain, maintaining a generally level grade throughout its length. The trail is accessed from Thompson Forest Road and extends to connect with Blacks River Road, providing a link between these two points. It is very popular with side-by-side and ATV riders, so caution is advised, particularly around curves and narrower stretches where visibility may be reduced. The forest setting offers a consistent backdrop for the entire route, with a mix of shaded areas and occasional openings. The trail itself does not provide formal campsites and lacks amenities such as trash disposal and a water supply. Cell service may be limited in some sections, making it important for travelers to be prepared before setting out.
