Trail Overview
The Old Silver Island Lake Access trail begins off Trappers Lake Trail and starts with a bumpy surface that includes some off-camber sections. The route is narrow in places and features moderate ascents and descents as it winds through forested terrain. Exposed rock is visible along the trail, adding some unevenness to the drive. As the trail continues, a few small clearings appear that provide convenient spots for parking before reaching the lake. The trail eventually ends at a clearing along the lakeshore, where a primitive campsite is located. This site includes two picnic benches and a fire ring and offers a quiet setting with scenic views across the lake. It is well-suited for those seeking solitude and a more remote camping experience. The trail and campsite do not include any additional amenities such as water or trash disposal, and cell phone reception may be unreliable or absent.
