Trail Overview
This trail begins as a long paved road before transitioning into a busy gravel road that sees frequent use, particularly due to the presence of YMCA facilities near the lake, including the Du Nord Lodge, as well as several private residences. Motorized recreational vehicles such as ATVs and side-by-sides (SXS) are not permitted on this trail. The route is wide and travels through forested terrain with some areas of steep drainage. It is common to encounter pedestrians, especially young people associated with the nearby camps, so caution is advised. The trail concludes at a turnaround area that provides access to private residences. At the end of the road, there are also hiking and ski trails, along with a large parking area for hikers and overflow parking for the Du Nord Lodge. There are no formal or dispersed campsites along the trail, and no services such as trash disposal or potable water are available.
