Trail Overview
This is a long trail with a well-maintained, two-vehicle-wide surface that remains generally smooth, though drivers should be cautious of slippery areas and keep an eye out for local traffic. Much of the route passes through residential areas and alongside private property, with Beltrami Island State Forest on one side and a mix of open fields, forest, and the Red Lake Wildlife Management Area on the other. The drive is scenic, offering a variety of landscapes along the way. The trail continues to Rapid River, where the surface becomes bumpier with some scattered rocks. It also connects to Hertz Road, though ATVs are not permitted on Rapid River Road. There are no formal campsites or amenities such as trash disposal or water supply, and cell service may be limited.

Difficulty
The trail is maintained but can develop light overgrowth between trims, especially in the summer months. Commonly used by local OHV traffic, the path remains visible and passable, though branches and low brush may occasionally encroach.
