Trail Overview
The Foxy Loop 2 is a shorter loop trail within the Foxy Loop network, accessed a short distance in from either entrance on the Soo Line. The trail is a little shorter than the Foxy Loop Main at only 1 mile. Combined with the Foxy Main, the network is roughly 2.5 miles of trail. This network is a great warm-up for both the Red Top and Solana Loops found further north on the Soo Line trail. The trail consists mostly of packed dirt that turns to mud during inclement weather. Water puddles are common throughout the riding season. The trail weaves through woods and across small gullies. The Foxy Loop trail network is part of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Drift Skippers Snowmobile and ATV Club managed networks. Drift Skippers is a 501(c)3 non-profit club established in 1970, which maintains approximately 106 miles of trails year-round. The trail is normally open from 1 April to 30 November to Class I ATVs only. OHV riding in Minnesota requires either a vehicle registered with the state or the purchase of a non-resident OHV state trail pass. Food and fuel can be found to the south along the Soo Line in Isle. The trail is rated moderately difficult by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
