Trail Overview
This trail is relatively short but offers a rewarding destination for those willing to make the effort. The route quickly narrows to a single-vehicle track. The surface is composed of sand and fine gravel, and conditions are often bumpy and wet, requiring slow and cautious driving. The trail winds through a wooded setting before arriving at a rustic camp tucked beneath large, mature trees. The site is grassy and shaded, with a simple fire ring and stacked wood and kindling left behind by previous visitors. An ATV trail also branches out from this camp, offering further exploration opportunities for smaller vehicles. From the camp, three access points lead to two lakes: Cass Lake and Shram Lake. These provide quiet waterfront spots that make the destination stand out despite the trail's short length. The trail itself does not include formal campsites and lacks amenities such as trash disposal, but water can be drawn from the lake. Cell service may also be limited, so it is recommended to prepare accordingly.
