Trail Overview
Andrusia Road Northeast is a wide, well-maintained gravel trail that runs through forested terrain before leading to the lake. In June 2025, the area experienced significant storm damage. Although the main route remains passable, travelers will notice debris and signs of downed trees along the way. The trail runs fairly straight for long stretches but also includes some gentle curves as it approaches the lake. At the end of the route, visitors will find a resort with access to the water, as well as the Sunset Bar and Grill, which serves as a recognizable landmark and gathering point. Drivers should be cautious of local traffic, particularly near the resort area, where activity tends to be busier. Several side trails branch off from the main road, but many of these remain overgrown or blocked by fallen trees, making them difficult or unsafe to access. The trail itself does not provide dispersed or formal campsites and lacks facilities such as trash disposal or water supply. Cell service may also be limited, so travelers should plan accordingly before heading out.
