Trail Overview
This trail begins at Highway 2 and crosses a set of railway tracks before continuing toward the private New Leech campground. Along the way, it passes what appears to be an old resort. The gravel surface is heavily corrugated, likely due to frequent local traffic, so careful driving is recommended. One unique feature of the route is the presence of Western Painted turtles, which can sometimes be seen crossing the road, particularly in warmer months. A small bridge is also part of the route, and there are a few side trails that extend deeper into the surrounding forest. While the area offers some visual interest and access to private recreational sites, it does not feature any formal or dispersed campsites. There are no amenities such as drinking water or trash disposal, and cell service may be limited or unavailable.
